A private game estate hunt offers the chance to hunt exceptional red stag trophies. Fallow deer, Tahr, Arapawa ram and Elk (depending on availability) can also be hunted. We have access to a number of different private game estates and multiple species within close proximity to our lodge.

Private Estate Hunting Access

Access is by vehicle, once at the private game estate 4×4 vehicles or side by side vehicles are used to gain altitude. The estates are tracked in some areas, but remember New Zealand is a mountainous country and some country within the estates is very steep. Just because the animals are on an estate doesn’t mean you’re not going to have to work for them.
